Summary[]

Jack and Mel are testing Mel's new invention, "The Sound-Switcher Thingy". Mel barks loudly, and the sound travels from a big horn, through a tube-like thing, out of another, smaller horn. The sound is then heard, more quieter. A montage of Jack and Mel using the new invention, with "Hey/Ho" playing. Mary is then heard outside the clubhouse. She has a surprise for Jack and Mel. She enters, telling the gang about her surprise. She says it is something cute, colorful, and that they'll be in the clubhouse any minute. The doorbell rings. Jack and Mary go to the door, unable to see anything at the door. Mary says to look down, and Jack immediately gets nervous. Jack runs away, passing by Mel and his Marvelous Music Machine. "B3" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack is hiding in a tuba, with Mary and Mel waiting outside the tuba. Mary asks Jack to come outside of the tuba, and Jack declines. He is still scared of Mary's bugs. After more begging for Jack to come out of the tuba, Mel plays the tuba. The air going inside the tuba makes Jack fly out of the tuba, landing near the door, right next to the bugs. Jack sees the bugs and runs away. He hops on top of Mel as though Mel is a horse. Mary asks once again for Jack to try playing with the bugs. Jack explains why he doesn't like bugs. The Schwartzman Quartet enter, singing "Bugs Are Really Swell". After they leave, Jack is distracted by the song to notice the bugs literally on him. Mary is proud of Jack for not being scared of bugs, which makes Jack notice the bugs. Jack runs off, passing Mel and his Marvelous Music Machine again. "I'm Me And You're You" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack is hiding in the piano. Mary and Mel beg Jack once again to come out of the instrument and see the bugs. Jack declines. Mary and Mel ask again, and Jack says that he will always be scared of bugs. Mel then puts the bugs to his ear and has an idea. Mel and Mary put the bugs below the small horn of Mel's Sound-Switcher Thingy. This makes the bugs more louder. Jack overhears the music and looks outside the piano. Mary talks to him about the music. Jack wants to know where the music is coming from, not knowing that it is the bugs. He follows the sound, and notices that it is the Sound-Switcher Thingy. Jack goes to the small horn and notices the bugs. He is startled for a few seconds, until realizing that the bugs are actually making music. He immediately likes the bugs. Mary and Mel are proud of Jack. Jack grabs his guitar and goes inside the big horn, transforming himself into Tiny Jack. Mary is surprised. "A Pretty Good Bug" is played by the normal Jack and puppet versions of the bugs. Jack then hears his mom. He goes back into the Sound-Switcher Thingy and goes back to life-size.
