Summary[]

"Mel The Musical Magical Magician" is played. During the song, Mel uses his magical horn to make a magic guitar, saxophone, and drum appear. After the song, Jack and Mary beg Mel to do another trick. Mel barks, saying that he will make a Bugle Bunny appear. Jack is excited, and accidentally gets too close to the horn when telling Mary that he can't wait. Mel accidentally turns Jack into a Bugle Bunny because of this. "Magic Box" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Mel and Mary look at Jack Bunny. Mary says that they need to change Jack Bunny back into Jack. Jack Bunny hugs Mary, which makes Mary change her mind. Mary starts to fall in love with Jack Bunny, saying Jack Bunny is cute. Mel barks loudly at Mary, saying that turning Jack Bunny into Jack is more important. Mary agrees, and they all go to the magic horn. Before Mel can change Jack back, Jack Bunny hops away from the horn. Mary and Mel chase Jack Bunny all over the clubhouse. The Schwartzman Quartet enter, singing "Run After Bugle Bunny" while Mary and Mel continue to chase Jack Bunny. When the quartet leaves, Mary and Mel notice that the bugle bunny is right in front of the magic horn. Mary tries to blow the horn, and Mel is in front of the horn. The bugle bunny hops away again, and before Mel can chase the bunny again, Mary accidentally turns Mel into a bugle bunny. "Wombo-Lombo" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Mary tries to turn Mel and Jack back. Jack and Mel bunny hop all over the clubhouse. Mary cannot blow the horn fast enough to change Jack and Mel bunny. Prudence the now-freed Music Genie comes in. Prudence notices the bunnies and asks what happened. Mary explains, and tells her that it is impossible to change the bunnies back, because the bunnies are too fast. Prudence knows what to do. Prudence and Mary sing "The Hop" which makes the bunnies hop with them. The bunnies stop at the horn, and Mary blows the horn, and Jack and Mel are back to normal. Jack and Mel don't know what happened. Jack is confused because Prudence has entered while Jack was still a bunny. Prudence leaves, and Jack asks Mary and Mel what happened. Jack and Mel still feel a little bit like bunnies (twitchy nose and desire for carrots). Mel gets behind the horn, and the three instantly remember what they were doing and pick up where they left off. Mary warns Jack to stay away from the horn, and Mel finally makes a real bugle bunny appear. Mary thinks that the real bunny is cute, too. Jack, Mary, and Mel sing the goodbye song, as they continue to play music in the clubhouse.

Trivia[]

  • Mary did not turn into a bunny.
  • This episode features Jack's smallest role in his "normal form" in only two scenes (one at the beginning and one at the end), although he spends a good portion of the episode as a bugle bunny. Mary is the main character in the episode instead of Jack or Mel.
  • Jack being a bunny is a reference to entertainer Jack Bunny, who is the inspiration for the main characters' names.
    • The episode title could also be a reference to Jack Benny.
  • It might also reference the old Houston Astros mascot who is a rabbit named Junction Jack.
  • Mel is blowing the horn instead of playing the drums.
  • This is the first episode featuring a brand-new voice actor: Greg Ferguson.
  • Jack does not say "See you next time!" in this episode.
  • This episode is the final appearance of Prudence.
  • We can see the back of the set in scenes with the magic horn.
  • According to an interview with John Kennedy on Jake's Happy Nostalgia Show, the plot for this episode was reused from the long lost pilot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg7ztMx1wP0
